Self-Assessments
Read about my top five strengths from the Gallup Strengths Finder 2.0 test and personality type from the Myers-Briggs test below, as well as my learning styles.
Achiever
Being an achiever means I have a constant drive and energy to start new tasks and achieve objectives. I see this in myself because I am constantly motivated to push myself to overcome challenges and remain productive in my work.
Positivity
Positivity is having the energy, enthusiasm, and optimism to see the good in every situation. I embody this by looking at situations from multiple perspectives and focusing on the good rather than dwelling on the bad.
Empathy
Empathy is the instinctive ability to understand the emotions of other people and anticipate their needs and questions. I possess this quality because I put myself in someone else's position before making judgements to truly understand their feelings.
Includer
Includers are instinctively accepting people who seek to make people part of the group because of the belief that we are all inherently equal. I definitely see this trait in myself because I do not believe people should be judged for what makes them unique.
Developer
A developer is someone who sees the potential in others because every person is alive with possibilities for success. I possess this trait because I like to think creatively to help people grow and develop, even if it is a long process.

Personality Test: ESFJ
The results from my personality test show that I am extraverted, sensing, feeling, and judging. This means I am outgoing, focused on facts and details, make decisions based on feelings, and prefer to be organized. These personality traits can help me be organized and make sensible decisions as an occupational therapist, but be personable with whoever I am working with.
Learning Styles
My preferred learning style is 35% visual, 35% auditory, and 30% tactile. This means I almost equally benefit from listening, seeing or reading, and hands-on application for learning.
